Electric Butterfly

Released on CD in June 2009 by Shayo (was previously released October 2007 as a digital download only by Snow Recordings)

Edge of Spring: a collection of songs 1995–2005

Electric Butterfly came into being when the unique vocalist and songwriter Sally Doherty began working with the gifted musician and producer Colin Elliot.

Based in Sheffield, their cool left-field pop sound is exotic and reveals glimpses of Sally’s life-long passion for Celtic folksong, Brazilian bossa nova, French chanson, South American bolero and the songs of Jacques Brel and Scott Walker, and her love of incredible singers such as crazy Peruvian princess Yma Sumac and the smooth and seductive Chet Baker.

They have made a haunting, uplifting and musically outstanding collection.
